Sonodyne Sonus 3350 Specifications

Values copied from Sonodyne's official product page, checked on 16 October 2026. Where Sonodyne doesn't publish a figure, we leave it out rather than estimate. View the official Sonodyne page.

What the Specifications Mean in Practice

Our notes on reading these numbers — LiveInSmart guidance, not manufacturer claims.

• **Sensitivity 86dB** — each 3 dB more sensitivity needs roughly half the amplifier power for the same loudness. Allow amplifier headroom in larger rooms.
• **Nominal impedance 8Ω** — an 8-ohm load is easy for almost any AV receiver or amplifier.
• **Recommended amplifier power 60 ~ 125 watt** — a range published by Sonodyne, not a requirement to buy the largest amplifier. Room size and listening level decide what you need.
• **Frequency response 65Hz ~ 20kHz (-3dB) on axis** — the low figure shows how much bass the product produces before a subwoofer is needed.
• A specification does not guarantee a listening result — room size, furnishings, placement and calibration change what you hear.

Who Should Consider It

Typical uses for the Sonus 3350:

• The dialogue channel in a home theatre
• Matching the tone of the front left and right speakers

When Another Option May Suit Better

You may prefer a different configuration if your front speakers are from another range — a centre from the same family keeps voices consistent as sound pans across the screen.

What Else You Need for a Working System

A passive speaker that needs an AV receiver channel. Pair it with front speakers from the same Sonodyne range. Final matching should be checked by an audio consultant against your room and equipment.

• Sonodyne Sonus 3165 — 3 way vented, floor-standing speaker
• Sonodyne Sonus 3155 — 3 way vented, floor-standing speaker
• Sonodyne Sonus 3260 — 2 way, vented, bookshelf speaker
• Sonodyne Sonus 3360 — 2 way, mtm, vented, centre speaker
• Choose a matching AV receiver — Denon, Marantz and Onkyo models with full specifications

Room and Installation Guidance

What we check when installing this product:

• Place it directly above or below the screen, as close to ear height as possible
• Tilt it towards the seats if it sits low or high
• Do not push it deep inside a closed cabinet shelf
