Where OLED wins
OLED gives perfect blacks, infinite contrast, and per-pixel dimming with no blooming. Off-axis viewing is essentially perfect. The default choice for a dim family-room home cinema and any critical film viewing.

We install both OLED and QLED systems every week across Hyderabad and Vijayawada. This is the honest, side-by-side comparison we give customers finalising a premium display for the family room in our showroom — no brand loyalty, just what actually holds up in year 3.

QLED (Samsung/Sony/TCL Mini-LED) is far brighter — 1500 to 4000 nits peak — so it defeats direct sunlight, HDR highlights punch harder, and there's zero risk of static-image burn-in from news tickers or gaming HUDs.
OLED cost per inch is dropping fast but QLED still wins on ₹/inch above 75". For 85"+ living rooms, QLED (especially Mini-LED) is usually the pragmatic choice; for 55"–77" dark-room cinemas, OLED usually wins the eye test.
There is no universally-best answer. Show us the room (light, seating, primary use), we'll recommend the right panel — often at prices below high-street retail.

Modern LG and Sony OLEDs have very effective pixel-refresh routines. For normal mixed viewing burn-in is extremely rare. For 8+ hours/day of a static news channel it can still occur — pick QLED in that scenario.
OLED wins on response time and motion clarity; high-end QLEDs match on refresh-rate and win on peak brightness. Both offer HDMI 2.1 4K120.
Yes — for anything above 85" perceived size, a 4K laser projector on a fixed-frame screen usually delivers a bigger, more cinematic image per rupee than a huge TV.
